Ash and debris
Check the property status first.
EPA has finished its household hazardous-material mission. That mission did not include general ash or debris removal. Property owners still handle required asbestos work. They also handle rebuilding steps.
A damaged lithium-ion battery can re-ignite. It can also explode or release toxic gases. Do not handle a suspect battery. Follow EPA and county guidance.
